Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Lease Renewal specialist to join an oil and gas company in downtown Houston. This person will support a land department and must have experience with right of way and surface right agreements. On a daily basis, this person will be responsible for: monitoring their internal data base, sending out property status reports to field staff, getting feedback on the assets, negotiate with private landowners, collect ownership documents, attend weekly staff meetings, ensure payments are made, perform some calculations for the leases, etc. This person must be self motivated, an independent worker, and must have excellent communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience

1-2+ years of experience in similar role supporting a land department reviewing legal documents

Very familiar with legal agreements/right of way/surface rights agreements, and understand the terms

Comfortable negotiating with private landowners, agencies, etc.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to use GIS system to map and find locations and pull legal descriptions

Comfortable working onsite in downtown 3 days per week

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

BS degree

Familiar with paying by acre or by rod
