Job Description

* Integrate with field activities and ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, and construction quality; including collecting field measurements, writing requests for information (RFIs), and providing as-built redlines or other documentation or construction administration activities.

* Coordinate structural design on multidiscipline project teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing (MEP) professionals.

* Make technical assumptions, think independently to complete assigned work, and draw conclusions based on engineering judgement.

Required Skills & Experience

* 6+ years of experience in the construction industry focused on structural systems

o Experience in structural design of buildings for commercial, industrial, oil and gas, high tech industries

o Hospitals, multifamily, office buildings, etc.

* Familiarity with US building codes and structural design standards.

* 100% out in the field -- field observations, checking in on construction progress

o Progress reporting to engineers, designers

o Working heavily with contractors

o Navigating drawings and construction safety

* Project focused on Steel construction -- concrete and steel

o Reinforced concrete and structural steel

* Familiarity and experience with Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revit and the Microsoft Office Suite

* Come from a structural engineering background

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management.

* Familiarity with Revit Structural

* Registered and in good standing as a Professional Engineer (PE)

* Working proficiency in Spanish Language
