Job Description

A client in the greater Houston area has 1 permanent opening for a Stress Piping Engineer to join their engineering division. This role will report to the Piping department manager and the lead piping engineer on assigned projects where they will conduct pipe stress analysis of piping systems per ASME Codes using Caesar II, for the load cases such as dead weight, sustained loads, Thermal expansion/contraction, Wave acceleration, Hog/sag Deflections, occasional and environmental loads, blast load, fatigue, slug, transportation, module lift, and vibration analysis, FIV and AIV. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and has strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization. This role will interface with multiple engineering disciplines, supporting long-term projects.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas FPSO, Offshore platforms, Petrochemical, or Refinery Industries
-Experience with AVEVA Modules (E3, MDS)
-Highly skilled in Navisworks
-A minimum of 8 years of experience as Piping Stress Engineer/Lead Stress Engineer for FPSO/offshore Platform based Projects
-Strong knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- AVEVA Engineering experience
-AutoCAD experience
