Lead Piping Engineer

A client in the greater Houston area has 1 permanent opening for a Lead Piping Engineer to add to their engineering division. The Lead Piping Engineer will manage the engineering design process of piping engineers and designers, from design basis through design validation. Responsibilities include; preparing documentation, reports, correspondence, procedures, specifications and technical calculations; responding to classifications and customers. Conducting structural calculations to support pipe design and verification, capable of strength of materials. The ideal candidate can develop piping schematics and layouts based on customer requirements and specifications, while applying expert knowledge to develop innovative solutions to technically challenging projects.

-Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-10-15+ years of experience in offshore or marine piping engineering
-Highly knowledgeable in offshore piping design and codes
-Expert in use of pipe stress analysis with Caesar II Software, and AutoCAD
-Possesses a basic knowledge of offshore production process requirements and the capability of developing P&IDs from customer specifications
-Familiar with risk assessment concepts and methods

-Expert with Excel
-Experience with PDMS
