Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Network Specialist focused on Plant operations to join one of our catalyst company clients. This individual will be working 5 days a week onsite at their plant in Pasadena, TX, with some additional travel to a nearby plant. They will be focused on managing networks and process control networks by utilizing Fortinet firewalls and Cisco switching. They should understand how to communicate through the firewall to business networks and be familiar with control systems or lab systems. Other responsibilities include:

Primary contact with site leadership to define and prioritize IT service requirements
Hire, train, evaluate, and develop a small staff required to deliver IT services effective and efficiently
Take command and control of any IT operational crisis or critical incidents by influencing/escalating across service owners/providers to resolve any service interruptions
Communication and daily management of the Albemarle global service desk processes and services
Managing local service according to OLAs with Incident Management and Request Fulfillment
Monitor and escalate local VIP support incidents
Support shift left strategy to drive incident resolution to self-service and/or level one support
Provide 24x7 management oversight for assigned infrastructure, applications, other IT services
Responsible for IT oversight, coordination, and manage of assigned industrial manufacturing systems in Operations Technology
Supports PIMS (Proc ess Information Management Systems), LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), and Analytics systems from an IT-OT Infrastructure standpoint
Ensure adherence to established corporate strategies, standards and policies and suggest modifications as appropriate
Adhere to IT Change management governance model
Provide metrics tracking of operational performance and quality of services
Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis, postmortem
Establish operational objectives and work plans, then delegate assignments to the appropriate staff member or group
Regularly review the established objectives to determine the success of the operation
Follow Project management methodology and participate in weekly PMO meetings
Become the broker of IT Services with internally and externally providers
Ensures that design and selection of new site-specific solutions are in alignment with corporate IT strategies, and policies. Conduct architecture/security reviews through PMO processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience specializing in either networks or firewalls
- Experience with Fortinet firewall and Cisco switching
- Familiarity with control systems or lab systems
