Job Description

An education employer in Katy, Texas is seeking an eager, motivated Field Engineer to join their team. The Field Engineer will be responsible for assisting the IT team, working through a ticketing system, taking down PCs/machines, moving them to their new location, setting the PCs back up, and imaging the machines. They will be performing hardware troubleshooting on HP printers, Lenovo, Dell, and HP desktops/laptops, and iPads as well as taking part in configuring iPads for the schools. This person will need to have experience troubleshooting Windows 7, 10 and 11 and have some knowledge of blow out projectors. Other random tasks can include, organization of equipment, taking out trash as needed, checking out equipment, assisting librarians/teachers at campuses, etc. The schedule will be Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm depending on which location which they will be given beforehand. There will be a strict 40 hour work week. The hourly pay for this is $16.00/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

1 to 3 years of experience as a Field Technician, Field Engineer or Desktop Support Technician



Experience troubleshooting Windows 7, 10 and 11



Experience troubleshooting HP printers and Lenovo, Dell, and HP desktops/laptops



iPad configuration experience



Excellent communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

A+ certification



Smartboard experience
