Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Offshore Operator to work a 14/14 schedule in the Gulf of Mexico, departing from Houma, LA. Candidates are not required to reside in Houma, LA; however, those who are not local will be responsible for their own travel costs and must ensure they can get to the departure location for their offshore shifts. The purpose of this position is to perform the safe and efficient operation of production, utility, and safety equipment in line with company policies and all relevant regulations. This person will perform first line maintenance on the equipment associated with the facility.

Expected Day-to-Day Roles & Responsibilities:

Safety
Perform all assigned tasks safely and responsibly in accordance with Company, and regulatory agency guidelines.
Participate in LiveSafe / Safety meetings
Participate in Hazard Hunts, Observation Card, Permit / Jobsite Audit programs

Work Control Programs
Demonstrate an expert level of knowledge of the PTW, JSA, & LOTO programs and policies
Create, implement, & audit permits and or isolation plans for daily tasks.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Occidentals preventative maintenance tracking, and work planning system.
Generate, implement, and complete workorders as well as routine preventative maintenance orders.

Operations
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform equipment and production systems via frequent operator rounds, HMI software, & communication with operations team.
Demonstrate proficiency and ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Report any issues that may negatively impact process safety, personnel safety, or the environment.
Ensure assigned work orders and preventative maintenance orders are completed within required time frame.
Utilize written operating procedures and philosophy to complete routine tasks or troubleshoot problems.
Ensure all relevant production data is reported, documented accurately, and pertinent records are maintained.
Ensure open lines of communication and interaction are maintained between operations team and third-party contractors.
Ensure all required daily reports are completed accurately and filed appropriately.
Assist with all required regulatory testing, inspections, repairs, and completion of all required paperwork
Assist with electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of platform process systems

Required Skills & Experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Professional / Technical Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications:
Minimum: THUET, T-2 Certificate, Advanced Fire Fighting.

Experience: At least 2.5-5 years of experience on a GOM platform

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Professional / Technical Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications:
- Lifeboatman, Fast Rescue Craft, First Aid / CPR Helicopter Landing Officer
