Insight Global is seeking a Petrophysical Data Advisor to join the team of a large oil and gas client. This person is expected to have extensive knowledge of all types of well log, core, geochemical and subsurface engineering data. They will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining core and subsurface data within an iPoint environment, and troubleshooting any technical issues within the software. They will be working alongside petrophysicists, geoscientists, and pertrotechs and data leads to ensure that best practices are being used across all teams and business units.
Expected Salary is between $130,000-$140,000.

Bachelor of Science degree in Geoscience, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience totaling 20+ years of the management of log, core, and subsurface engineering data
SME level understanding of petrophysical information, such as logs, core samples, geochemical data, and biostratigraphic data, along with other subsurface tabular data like PVT, all within the iPoint environment.
Strong working knowledge of iPoint and general knowledge of other technical data bases that store log and core data (IE Recall, IP, Techlog, Openworks, Petrel Studio).
10+ years of experience working with SQL (pulling data, writing queries)
Excellent knowledge of data load and integration techniques commonly used with a variety of software packages, such as, Recall, IP (Interactive Petrophysics), Techlog, Openworks, and Petrel Studio.
10+ years of experience working within a subsurface data environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide effective mentorship and training.
Certifications in data management, scripting, AWS, or project management are a plus.
