A library servicing the Oil and Gas community is looking to hire a Librarian in the Fort Worth area. The Librarian will be responsible for managing and recording Geoscience records. Duties include:
- Organize library records in paper, microfiche and digital formats.
- Locate and refile oil & gas well data filed by well attributes, the Texas Land Survey System, or the Public Land Survey System.
- Store and maintain raster and digital data in a manner as requested by the Board of Directors.
- Organize and inventory new data acquisitions in both paper and digital formats.
- Maintain and develop the library inventory spreadsheets.
- Provide customer service to members and reciprocal libraries.
- Search, retrieve, scan and print physical library data in a timely manner upon request.
- Access Texas RRC online data, and other useful websites, as needed for reference.
- Compile charges for services provided and accept payments.
- Maintain official library records and facilitate communication with library supporters.
- Record and maintain Board Meeting notes and action items.
- Email communications to library members, contacts, and board members.
- Maintain current email distribution lists in Outlook.
- Assist in the organization and preparation of short courses and other events sponsored by OILFW.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
- Interface with digital processing partner regarding digitizing, database management, and revenue sharing.
Based on experience, this position offers an hourly pay rate of $15-18/hr.

Background in the O&G industry as a Geoscientist or Geotechnician OR experience as a Librarian and willing to learn O&G terminology
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Organizational skills
Good interpersonal communication skills
Customer service experience
Knowledge of oil and gas records and terminology is required
Knowledge of the Texas Land Survey System and the Public Land Survey System
Knowledge of G&G applications (such as: Petra, Kingdom, Geographix, Petrel, or any others) is preferred
Website management experience
