A client of Insight Global is seeking to add a Project Manager to their team. This company calls Project Managers (Product Team Managers). This position is composed of two primary roles. In the first role, the Product Team Manager will oversee all aspects of the project and product-related work activity, including responsibility for coordination, communication, and meeting the expectations of the Product Owner and Product Sponsor concerning cost and timelines. Including acquiring resources from Resource Managers and coordinating the efforts of Product Team members (including third-party contractors or consultants) to deliver product objectives set by the Product Owner and Product Sponsor. The Product Team Manager will also assist in defining project and work activity objectives as part of the Product Management Team (with Product Owner and Product Sponsor) and oversee quality control throughout the product or project life cycle. In the second role, the Product Team Manager will manage a defined suite of technology products. They will document the product strategy and product management lifecycle activities for current, near-term, and future products within the portfolio, including assisting the Product Management Team in developing and implementing product roadmaps. The Product Team Manager will coordinate with the Product Management Team and lead the Product Team members from various disciplines within the organization. They will provide consistent updates to the Product Owner and Product Sponsor, along with estimates for future enhancements.
Responsibilities:
1. Willing to contribute to the team whenever and wherever necessary to ensure delivery of value.
2. Deliver value to the business in a timely manner.
3. Assist in defining and document project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with product owners and product sponsors.
4. Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings.
5. Work with the Product Owner to ensure requirements align with stated product goals and objectives.
6. Effectively communicate product and project statuses to team members, product owners and product sponsors, and other stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
7. Build relationships with product owners and product sponsors through regular formal meetings and informal discussions.
8. Manage/Monitor scope and work activity (project, system bugs, and maintenance), schedule and budget, and recommend changes when necessary.
9.Negotiate with resource managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
10.Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
11.Work with knowledge experts and stakeholders to plan, build and launch high-quality product experiences that simplify the way people work together.
12.Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the product team and Resource Managers.
13.Plan, schedule, and monitor timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
14.Identify and manage success criteria and measures of success.
15.Manage accounting weekly, including team hours and expenses, budget, and invoices.
16.Conduct product reviews, measure projections to actuals and identify successful and unsuccessful elements.
17.Collaborate with Resource Managers to monitor and adjust human resource capacity and provide performance and career path feedback.
Pay Rate can range from $65-75/hr depending on years of experience, skills and education.
