Insight Global is looking for Automation QA Engineer to join a Retail Innovation Tech lab in Dallas, TX. You will be testing on an Operations Yearly Inventory application that is in early stages of programming and testing.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Working with engineering dev team on front and backend for functional and automation testing
* Being the end-to-end quality gatekeeper of the team where the candidate should be expert analyzing Business/Functional requirements, writing Test Plan, estimate QA efforts, Test Strategy, Test Scenarios, analyzing and preparing result summary reports.
* Execution of Test cases and reporting defects using JIRA for tracking and management, enhancing communication and resolution efficiency throughout the Bug Life cycle.
* Ability work with existing testing frameworks and creating testing frameworks from scratch to test in mobile, API and Cloud based application systems.
* Maintain Quality Metrics for Applications, Projects and Operations
* Be Adept in implementing CI pipeline and deploying applications with Continuous Deployment using Git-ops and Jenkins.
This is a hybrid role, going on-site in downtown Dallas on Tuesdays to meet with the team.

* Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science and 8 years' experience in software engineering OR Master of Science and 5years' experience in software engineering
* 5+ years of testing and automation experience from front end and backend perspective with
* Significant experience working with testing web and mobile along with tools like Jest, Selenium and Appium using Cucumber and Mocha Framework.
* In-depth knowledge of Typescript, Java 11, Spring boot, Hibernate, JPA, Junit, TestNG, Rest Assured and Springboot IT Tests
* Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals like Page Object Modeling, BDD and TDD.
* Ability to develop functional, technical and user based test cases using reporting tools like Jira Xray, Allure, Report NG
* Demonstrates deep expertise in database query-based testing with knowledge of MSQL, MYSQL, Cosmos and Dbeaver
* Experience partner with developer and support teams in order to resolve bugs and post production issues quickly.
* Excellent analytical, design, decision making and communication skills to converse with Business and product about testing strategies.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for Deployments
* Experience with public cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.
* Previous experience working with a distributed team.
* Contributions to open-source projects
