Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Service and maintain all HVAC systems under contract with current customers while developing positive customer relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



* Perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.



* Perform preventative maintenance work on HVAC equipment; change filters, belts, clean coils and lubricate as necessary.



* Take readings from pressure gauges, thermometers, and electrical meters to evaluate proper equipment operation.



* Read and adhere to diagrams, blueprints, specifications and manuals for installation and repair of HVAC equipment.



* Commission start-up and checkout of HVAC equipment.



* Install electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls.



* Perform brazing and soldering tasks as required for installation or repair of HVAC equipment.



* Test and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, repair and test equipment prior to placing back into service.



* Monitor and maintain clean work areas.



* Maintain and service hand and power tools related to trade.



* Complete necessary documents (time sheets, invoices) and electronic communication in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.



* Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and maintain a clean vehicle at all times.



* Provide technical support to customers and/or technicians.

Required Skills & Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years related work experience or trade school graduate

Computer Skills: Minimal computer skills with minimal Microsoft Excel experience

Certificates & Licenses: Registration with the State of Texas and Refrigerant Certificate; Valid Texas Drivers License

Other: Familiarity with construction plans and specifications
