The #2 ranked in year-over year relative growth Convenience Store brand in the US is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join its Finance/Accounting Team. Reporting to an AP Manager who reports directly to the Corporate Controller, this member of the team will be responsible for ensuring timely accurate payment of amounts owed to our vendors. The position requires a high--energy, deadline-driven, results-oriented person with great attention to detail and a strong work ethic. This position must be able to work independently and also build rapport and cultivate solid relationships with team members at all levels of the company.
Responsibilities:
--Process and reconcile nontrade invoices and payments, including real estate and lease payments, utilities, marketing, and advertising, etc.
--Ensure correct sorting, matching, and approval of invoices/receipts by working with all levels of personnel in various departments
--Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
--Assist with month-end close and financial statement review
--Maintain monthly close reporting timetable and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones
