Insight Global is looking for a Field Engineer for a premier oil and gas client local to Houston. The Field Engineer will be joining a team that specializes in Automation Solutions, I&E Construction Services, Power Generation and Packaged Equipment for the Energy and Industrial markets. This person will be helping acquire essential data to planning long-term development, you'll organize, run, and report operations in the field environment and assist specialists and other Engineers with key decisions. Key responsibilities include performing installations, troubleshooting and providing maintenance on PLC Systems; Programming and commissioning of Yokogawa DCS, or Delta-V DCS systems; Support engineers, specialists and customers on-site and help with essential duties, such as risk analysis. Excellent communication is needed for this position would be working with on worksites with clients and vendors -- for this position is the face of the company. This position will report in North Houston, with the expectation of being able to report onsite in office 5 days a week. All safety training and applicable training will be provided by client.

5-10 years of experience performing installations, maintenance, troubleshooting or programming of PLC systems (preferably Rockwell PLC's Logix 5000)
Bachelors degree in computer engineering, applied science or engineering.
Experience within field operations, including engineering design, maintenance, job planning, and operational reporting.
Experience programming & configuring AVEVA Solutions (formerly known as Wonderware, Wonderware HMI)
Development of necessary software and assist in the integration and startup of the control systems
Ability to provide detailed reports to the customer
Programming and troubleshooting of Yokogawa DCS, or Delta-V DCS system.
