Position Summary
The primary role of the Graphic Designer is to prepare digital artwork files for release to internal production teams by creating and conceptualizing the design and layout of individual customer-driven products.
Day-to-Day:
* Collaborate closely with Art department teams to transform customer specified designs into superior product.
* Operate a Macintosh and/ or PC workstation equipped with graphic art and graphic design software to prepare electronic artwork designs.
* Review and interpret customer needs through instruction and fluent customer communication to produce final mat layout designs in a quick, accurate, and detailed manner according to specifications.
* Accurately prepare, convert, redraw, or sometimes create customer logos and designs into EPS or vector art formats.
* Efficiently prepare and interpret layouts and art files for waterjet to cut art, resizing projects and editing according to specifications.
* Working with wide format plotter machine, accurately apply order specifications to designs and logos according to machine capabilities and in correlation with customer needs to produce paint masks and pounce patterns for production.
* Assist and support Graphic Design Manager to create customer mat drawings in a standardized format.
* Provide approved layouts, logo proofs, paint color matching and measurements for product approval while efficiently retaining created designs, customer logo, and art files for future orders.
Work Environment:
* This position will function in an office environment as well as in the factory to perform essential tasks.
* This role will regularly be required to sit, type and use eyes to focus.
* Occasionally this role will be required to walk, reach, and move objects that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
