Insight Global is looking for a motivated individual to join the team supporting one of our largest clients that provides lT services to state agencies. This network engineering position provides hands on design, deployment and project support of large client environment on site and remotely. This individual will apply knowledge of network systems, applications, and network infrastructure to provide technical expertise for network infrastructure designs, expansions and configurations. Day-to-day responsibilities include installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots network services and devices and interacts with customers to resolve network issues in support of projects. This person will act as a subject matter expert on network communications and provides auxiliary support for other IT services that rely on the network. They will work with help desk and other support teams to troubleshoot physical network layer issues during testing and deployment. This individual will support the Network Engineering Team on ongoing special projects and introduce network innovation and enhance network functionality.

* Minimum of five years experience in the networking field
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or Information technology or equivalent
* Ability to communicate well with the client and business unit leads
* Ability to work autonomously and prioritize work
* Participate in network design and strategy forums
* General Networking product and technology knowledge
* Advanced knowledge with switching and routing (Nexus switches, Cisco ASRs, BGP and OSPF) in BGP routing and MPLS,
* Knowledge of firewall rules
* Understanding of security standards, design and best practices
* Cisco CCNA or CCNP level certification preferred
