Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Wiring Harness Electrical Engineer for the Avionics team at a commercial space client in Webster, TX. This person will be working with circuit board designers and drafters to design, draft, review and test electrical wiring 3D models, assembly drawings, and installation drawings for spacecraft electrical avionics systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in wire harness design or combined equivalent of education and experience

Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA-STD-8739.4 for design and fabrication standards

Understanding and application of EMI/RFI, signal shielding, and bonding principles.

Understanding of wire derating criteria and capability to calculate wire sizing requirements

Preferred experience with SolidWorks Electrical, for designing systems level wire diagrams. (Also open to AutoCAD, NX, Creo, and other design softwares)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related field (Associate's Degree with relevant work experience)
