Insight Global is looking to hire a Cyber Defense Analyst to join one of Houston, Texas' leading healthcare systems. This role will provide crucial support to the Systems Administration team by conducting vulnerability scans and collaborating with application owners to address potential threats.
This position is an excellent stepping stone for a System Administrator that is eager to transition into the Cybersecurity field. On a daily basis, this Analyst will handle tickets through ServiceNow, utilize Tenable.IO for vulnerability scanning, and employ ORDR as an IoT discovery tool to resolve any findings.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Windows Administration and familiarity with unpackaging UNIX. This role is not just a job, but a career move that offers growth and learning opportunities in the ever-evolving field of Cybersecurity.
* 1-3 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator, completing break/fix tasks and system updates/upgrades.
* Some experience unpackaging UNIX/Linux OS.
* A desire to learn Cybersecurity.
* Prior experience with Tenable.IO and IoT standards.
* Understanding of vulnerability scans, remediation, and patching OS and networks.
* Experience working with a high volume of tickets (experience with the ServiceNow system is preferred).
Ability to be on call for one week bimonthly (4PM-8AM CST)
