A large Retail company is looking to hire a Accounting Lease Analyst. Listed below are some of the duties you will be completing.
* Annual Reconciliations
o Receive the annual, quarterly, and monthly expense reconciliations.
o Review the Lease and expense reconciliations to ensure the Landlord has met the correct criteria for calculating payment or credit due.
* Rent Payments
o Responsible for the timely and accurate payment of all Lease required charges, including rent and triple nets.
o Review annual escrow adjustments from landlords and update in lease administration database.
* Responses to lease accounting questions
o Common Area Maintenance, Insurance, and Real Estate Tax payments require an accrual to ensure the store has the funds to pay the amounts owed.
o Analyzing past amounts to determine if there are historical trends that will affect the future cost and project the appropriate increase using this information.
* Sales Reporting
o Review and verify the gross sales reports prior to submission to the Landlord.
o Verify the threshold is in accordance with the Lease.
o Analysis of system-generated gross sales reports for appropriate deductions to avoid overstatement of gross sales.

* 5+ years of related experience within the commercial real estate industry (e.g., Lease & Accounting Administrator, Staff Lease Accountant Lease Administrator)
* Experience interpreting complex Leases
* Experience with CAM audits
* Understanding and working experience with reviewing invoices, tax reconciliation, abstractions
* Experience with a Property Management or Lease Administration database
