An Energy client of Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer to join the New Energy Systems Integration and Modeling team in Houston, TX. This individual will be working closely with other members of the team including the lead Data Scientist and Systems Engineer. The responsibilities of the Software Engineer would include writing test functions and test sequences using Python and Java to ensure that the power and hydrogen/ammonia process systems techno-economic data and code is sustainable and robust. In addition, they would write code to ensure quality control for inputs, making sure they are in correct format. 90% of their scripting will be done in Python, with about 10% in Java. They should have a strong understanding of software best practices as well as previous experience working in the Energy Industry preferably in the Hydrogen and Ammonia space.
