A global retailer is seeking a Data Scientist to consult and advise data scientists, machine learning engineers and business leaders within the organization on how to optimize current practices as it relates to Azure cloud data, Databricks and other high level architecture. They currently have over 150 data science and AI resources spread out amongst different globally who are all operating in their own way. They're looking for someone to step in and offer guidance on where improvements can be made, identify redundancies and suggest when and how to utilize technologies such as Databricks and other expensive tools that may be being overused. They need to step in to help us validate, recommend, and improve our data science system architecture. Some key areas of focus are within Azure and consists around using Azure VMs, Azure Databricks, and Azure ML. The goal is to find someone who understands these different areas, how to optimize within and across these from a mixture of capabilities and cost and can help in bringing the recommendation to life. We're needing some support not around the architecture in total but the AI compute side splitting across data bricks and simple compute utilization.
- 7+ years as data scientist, machine learning engineer, artificial intelligence engineer
- Very strong with Azure including but not limited to Azure ML, Azure VM
- Good working knowledge with Databrciks
- Comfortable evaluating current Azure architecture and confidently validate, recommend, and improve data science system architecture
