One of the fastest-growing convenience store operators in the US is seeking an Technical Accounting Manager to join their team. Reporting to the SVP of Finance, this member of the team will proactively manage and document key accounting disclosures and in-depth research.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the quarterly preparation of financial statement footnotes and supporting documentation, working closely with Controllers, VP of Finance, and CFO
- Participate in the coordination and preparation of quarterly reports (10-Q), annual reports (10- K) and current reports (8-K) if applicable
- Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of complex accounting matters which may include, but is not limited to, the following:
* New equity instruments
* Lease accounting process, in accordance with accounting standard

* Business combinations, in accordance with accounting standard 805
* Capitalization of interest is appropriate, in accordance with accounting
standard 835
* Asset retirement obligations
* Sale-leaseback analysis
Experience in consumer retail industry, construction, or real estate
