Job Description

A top client in the Austin area is looking to add a Director of Product Marketing to the team! This role will require you to travel to customer sites once/month. In this role, you will articulate a clear, consistent, and creative value proposition to our buyers and influencers while acting as the linchpin between our demand generation, product management and customer success teams to drive new sales for the company. You will have the opportunity to develop compelling thought leadership content, run go-to-market initiatives and sales enablement programs while becoming an expert in helping public agencies and private owners deliver the capital assets their constituents and customers need with our award-winning software. You'll also build a small, global team of product experts to support our sales function at every stage of engagement with our prospects and customers. This role requires someone who can roll up their sleeves and convert their ideas into extraordinary products features, messaging, and customer experiences very quickly.

Responsibilities Will Include:

-You will be the company go-to expert on the key capabilities, differentiators, benefits, and use cases our solutions have for our target customers.

-Developing compelling messaging, product literature, videos, website content, presentations, and case studies that deliver clear value propositions to our buyers.

-Partnering with sales and product management leadership to drive effective product launches and campaigns.

-Leading marketing research efforts, including addressable markets, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, competitive positioning, and buyer persona definition. Identify significant long-term opportunities based on research, analysis, and a strategic view of the marketplace.

-Delivering high-level thought leadership positioning for blog posts, whitepapers, social media, speaking engagements, interviews, and other public outreach initiatives.

-Working closely with our sales enablement team to develop tools that enable our business development, field sales, and channel teams on product capabilities and best practices.

-Helping define the vision and go-to-market strategy for every solution, regularly evaluating pricing and packaging options for market fit.

Required Skills & Experience

-Ability to travel to customer sites once/month

-5+ years of Director-level experience

-Experience working for a Construction Technology company

-Experience overseeing the full lifecycle of a product launch

-Experience launching a product to government agencies

-Exceptional content writing skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience working for Trimble/E-Builder, Procore, Oracle (Construction & Engineering divison), Autodesk, PMware, Bankly, Kahua, Project Mates, AECOM

-Experience working for a system integrator (Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, Oracle, etc.)

-Experience working with or for government agencies
