Job Description

Responsible for providing front line deployment and troubleshooting services in the area of wired and wireless networking and telephony services. This position works closely with senior and lead engineers to be given training and instruction to perform repeatable tasks and for physical deployment and support for end users. This work may be operational or project based.



- Leads medium to large projects in network switch and/or telephony deployments and related cabling.

- Manages the deployment of routine configuration of networking an/or telephone infrastructure.

- Manages work order queue and knows how to prioritize work load

- Provides continuous communications with customer base

- Promotes professional development and growth through personal enrichment and education and serves as a mentor to others on the team - Physically installs networking and/or telephony equipment

- Inventory and label network and/or telephony gear

- Perform repetitive installation tasks with minimal supervision and work with Senior and Lead engineers for more complicated tasks or projects

- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

- 4-6 years experience in general IT with experience with at least one of the following: Networking, Phone support, Low-voltage or structured cabling

- Knowledge of cable wiring (MDF's, IDF's, BDF's, Risers, etc.)

- Advanced knowledge on TCP/IP fundamentals or advanced knowledge in VOIP, Digital Telephony and Analog PBX technology fundamentals

- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Excellent customer satisfaction skills & communications

- Ability to identify, diagnose and resolve problems with a focus in telecom and networking.

- Ability to work unsupervised on multiple projects or tasks at a time.
