Job Description
A healthcare company in the medical center is looking to bring on a Network Engineer II . They will be responsible for routine installation,
testing, analysis and support of all elements of the network facilities (including power, communications machinery, software, lines, modems, and terminals), and ensuring stable network performance. They will also ensure monitor and controls performance and status of the network resources. They will also be responsible for utilizing software and hardware tools, identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting network performance. It's important that they possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures relating to network technologies, to the completion of moderately difficult assignments. This person will troubleshoot networking and operating systems problems, providing technical assistance and resolution. They will assess network needs and designs solutions that conform to corporate standards for projects. This is a team of 8 other Network Engineers that support networking voice, the call center, fax, telephone lines, computer issues, and phone connection issues for the hospital. This is a customer facing position that requires the engineer to visit the 9 different hospitals throughout the week.
Required Skills & Experience
Four+ years of experience of progressive data network engineering
Experience with a cisco implementation
Networking support experience - EIGRP, TCP/IP, IP subnet
VOIP support experience - publisher server and desk Cisco phones
Comfortable troubleshooting connection issues for computers and phones
Aware of network security - Cisco ISE
Cisco certified (CCNA/CCNP)
High School diploma or equivalent education
Professional and excellent communication
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in healthcare
Project Management experience
CCIE
