Insight Global is seeking a DHS Key Account Manager to join a large radiation detection manufacturer with a focus on operational threat detection. The Account Manager will have a focus on capture management across the Department of Homeland Security, including identification, closure, and retention of business opportunities. The typical responsibilities include: developing strong relationships with customers, participating in business planning, collecting data concerning consumer behavior to help the company evolve their product, developing innovative capture strategies, preparing key account bids and proposals, managing reporting of KPIs and BD activities, and resolving any customer issues or complaints. This will require being located in the DC area in order to attend conferences, in-person meetings, and networking events, but does not require in-office work. This role has uncapped potential for growth and a potential pipeline of 100M in business opportunity.
- 6+ years of experience working with the DHS, including program/capture management.
- Proven experience as a DHS Account Manager with a track record of closing new complex contracts.
- Experience selling directly to CBP and/or CWMD.
- Knowledge of the IT, security or defense market and an understanding of the sales cycle in this space.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
- Expertise within the x-ray or radiation detection space.
- Technical background in engineering or physics.
- Current or previous security clearance.
