Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Peoplesoft Developer for a direct hire opportunity in Houston, Texas working 4 days a week onsite. The company is expanding their PeopleSoft globally searching for a strong programmer to assist in the implementation of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable modules as well as maintaining the system. As a PeopleSoft Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our global PeopleSoft systems. You will be responsible for creating and analyzing technical specifications, developing program logic, performing online coding, and conducting unit testing. Additionally, you will review and modify programming systems, install systems and programs, and implement new PeopleSoft modules. In this role, you will be involved in creating complex reports, performing advanced SQL queries, and using database tools to support business and management requests. You will also be responsible for integrating PeopleSoft programs with other systems in the organization, researching issues, and maintaining integrations/interfaces between PeopleSoft modules. Furthermore, you will provide second-level technical support for PeopleSoft interfaces and modules, as well as support third-party system interfaces. The ideal candidate is highly technical in Peoplesoft 9.2 or higher, strong knowledge of AR/AP modules, proficient with SQL programming as well as database tools, willing to ask the right questions and create solutions for the functional teams.

* Create technical specifications for coding systems and programs including the needed data sources.

* Develop and write program logic

* Perform PeopleSoft online coding

* Take on unit testing

* Review, analyze, problem solve, and modify programming systems

* Install systems and programs which support our business processes

* Implement new PeopleSoft modules

* Create complex reports to support business and management requests

* Perform complex SQL queries and use database tools

* Integrate programs with other systems in the organization

* Research issues, monitor and maintain integrations/interfaces between PeopleSoft modules

* Provide second level technical support for PeopleSoft interfaces and modules

* Support third-party system interfaces

Required Skills & Experience

* 5 -- 8 years as a Peoplesoft Developer (9.2 or higher)

* Experience creating custom applications

* Strong SQL Programming

* Well versed in Peoplecode (Object Oriented Programming, Application Packages)

* Knowledge in AR/AP Financial Modules

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Insurance industry experience

* BI Publisher for reporting (XML Publisher)
