An employer is looking to hire two Parts Coordinator resources directly with a premier client in Carlsbad, NM. He or she will be joining a leading provider of natural gas contract compression services company to customers in the oil and natural gas industry through the US. The Parts Coordinators will be located in Carlsbad, NM and will be joining the purchasing team in supporting internal customers. They will be responsible for owning the inception to end processes of supporting field techs at their three various locations - Midland, Permian Basin and Carlsbad, NM. The support includes ordering parts needed to support the work conducted at those sites, ensuring the parts get delivered on time and if the parts are not available he or she will be responsible for calling the vendors to order the parts and following the delivery process to verify the corrects parts were delivered. Once the parts have successfully be delivered, the case is now in a "closed" status and will be passed along to the correct purchasing POC. This role requires strong communication skills, customer service support experience and an understanding of various machinery parts and lingo. He or she will also be required to be onsite 5 days a week and must be comfortable working on a rotational on-call basis. When on call, the Parts Coordinator will be expected to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6pm to 6am with the following week being able to work from home.
3+ years of experience as a Customer Service or Parts Coordinator type role
Knowledge or background in compressions equipment or other similar machinery equipment
Experience working with external vendors in ordering parts and ensuring they get delivered on a timely manner
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
