Job Description

A client in the Austin, TX area is looking to bring an Events Coordinator onto the team! In this role, you will work with sales, customer marketing, and others to exhibit at industry trade shows and host digital and in-person events. This includes researching building relationships with event organizers in the public and private sector, bringing the team together to execute the show, coordinating with vendors, etc. Our ideal candidate has exceptional project management skills and enjoys meeting new people to share what's unique about the company with them. The role requires someone who is outgoing, genuine, and can articulate enterprise-level benefits to a director-level and above audience in a personal setting.

Responsibilities Will Include:

-Traveling to in-person trade shows. Expected travel will be roughly 50%

-Authoring and implementing an annual corporate events plan, aligned with our company strategy and marketing goals.

-Researching the events landscape in capital planning and construction management and manage the company's events calendar.

-Working with sales and marketing leadership to prioritize and schedule around 6 trade shows per year as well as in-person and virtual customer and partner events.

-Use creative thinking to augment our presence among our target personas and strategize how to maximize the company's return from trade shows and events.

-Project managing all aspects of an event, including budget, equipment, collateral, logistics, contract negotiations, speakers, KPIs, and run checkpoint meetings with the team to keep everyone informed.

-Working with our digital, social, and email marketing teams to promote our attendance at trade shows and our own hosted events.

-Building relationships with SMEs, associations, and partners for events and speaking opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

-2-3+ years of Events Coordination for trade shows & large-scale conferences

-Great organization & presentation skills

-Bachelor's Degree

-Ability to travel 50% of the time

-Personality fit: bubbly, outgoing, energetic, extroverted, someone you're comfortable putting in front of vendors & customers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Public or government sector background

-Infrastructure / capital management background
