Job Description
An oil and gas client in the Midland area is looking for an I&E Engineer. This person will be responsible for supporting general Facilities Engineering with Medium and Low voltage Electrical (I&E) project design, construction, commissioning, and startup activities in the companies' midcontinent operational areas. In general, the individual will support PM Engineers on new facility design and construction activities, including instrumentation, control, communications for well sites, and medium and Low voltage electrical system designs, project cost and schedule management, facility construction, Factory and Site Acceptance Testing, I&E system commissioning and troubleshooting, facility startup, and project turnover activities to Operations. Travel to various project locations will be required, however; most locations will be in the areas of the Delaware Basin.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years' experience as an Instrumentation electrical and controls Engineer
Field experience with temperature transmitters, junction boxes, grounded systems and UPS POCs
Experience with electrical Power Distribution systems/ ETAP modeling
Experience with 480 Voltage systems and below
Experience with Company/ industry I&E standard codes, design practices, and engineering standards/specifications for onshore production facilities
Experience developing power electrical discipline deliverables
Ability to deliver I&E engineering construction work package Ensuring all vendor supplied equipment packages meet the applicable equipment, control, and electrical specifications
Ability to manage multiple project schedules, manage costs and provide timely material delivery in a fast-paced work environment
Experience with planning and executing commissioning of low and medium voltage systems including relays, switchgear, MCC, drives, and Power Management Systems.
