Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Manager, Application Development to join a large not-for-profit here in Dallas, TX. This individual Oversees development, configuration, and usage of assigned application system for the company's business partners to meet ongoing technology needs. Oversees development and preservation of data quality from team's fundraising systems to a single proprietary data repository. Supports project manager team members in defining scope, negotiating contracts, and managing project budgets. Executes projects as a people leader, bringing in team members as needed. Report on status of projects and support work for integrations and web development needs. Attracts, develops, coaches, and supervises staff. Manages team with complete integrity and in accordance with the company policies, systems, practices, and programs. Monitor and directly manage application availability in our Azure environment. Manages and participates in software engineering of our fundraising applications, including ongoing support, sustainability, maintenance, code reviews of internal and vendor custom code, and cost management. Work with various vendors as owner of our technical implementation, reviewing, and approving all integrations between fundraising SaaS applications, external applications, and internal applications. Participates in Business Technology planning process providing staffing, high-level project estimates and technical guidance to all departments and levels within the organization. Participates in annual budgeting process. Works with business development partners to understand and help facilitate digital and fundraising strategies. Willingness to step in where needed and help as a leader in service to donors, team, and our organization.
Team Structure:
This Sr Manager will have 2 Software Developers, 1 Quality Engineer, and 1 UX Programmer reporting into them.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Experience in application systems management, configuration, or programming
3+ years of Experience with integration and APIs
3+ years of Experience with Azure hosted non-native custom applications.
5+ years of Experience with React JavaScript framework and programming.
Experience working with data hosted in PostgreSQL database on Azure.
5+ years of Experience with C# programming.
5+ years of Experience overseeing technology provided through internal platform.
5+ years of Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API methods
Knowledge of web development principles
Ability to communicate, both verbally and on paper, tailoring the form and method of communications to the needs and perceptions of the recipients
Ability to attract, develop and coach staff.
