Job Description
A large oil and gas client of Insight Global is looking in LATAM for a QA Automation Tester to join a global team. This person will develop automated test frameworks and suites on UI, API, and Integration levels of testing using Python or other OO language. They will also perform unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing. Additionally they will create, extend and maintain test automation libraries and frameworks developed in Python while incorporating test automation into CI/CD. They will create test cases with clear test objectives using Action Based Tests. They will also follow and contribute to Agile/SCRUM activities (e.g. daily stand-ups, retrospectives, iteration planning, estimating/reporting, acceptance criteria definition, etc.), while working closely with stakeholders such as Product owners, SME, Development team ,Scrum master to understand and effectively drive Software Quality. They will identify, document, and reproduce defects in software and systems and work closely with Business Analysts/End-Users to understand the Application and how it is used. Lastly, but not limited to, they will do deployment of applications and issue investigations and troubleshoot. Along with coordinating test activities to support patches.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer experience
Must have BE/B Tech (Computer Eng, Computer Technology, or Information Technology)
Strong experience in Python/Java development
Experience with integration and end-to-end testing, testing web based applications, client-server applications, and database testing
Data Structures Knowledges
Fluent in English
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Message Queuing understanding
Experience working in Azure Dev-Ops
Working knowledge of Network packet capture tools (Wireshark, Fiddler)
Experience testing the Oil and Gas Industry software and facilitates setup and configuration of Web test environment
