Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an ICEM Modeler/designer for a large Client based out of Denton, TX. This position will be fully remote. You will be responsible for generating Class "A" CAD surface models using ICEM Surf. Translate styling/design intent into surface models while incorporating engineering and manufacturing criteria. Responsible for CAD surface continuity and fidelity, and the release of final surface data to Engineering and suppliers.



* Using ICEM Surf, develop and release Class "A" surface CAD models from scan data, design sketches, 3D sketch models, and verbal direction.

* Understand all phases of the Industrial Design process and has the knowledge and skills to execute a program or multiple projects from concept through to surface release.

* Understanding of Creo Master Model Assembly layout, retrieval, and data release practices.

* Coordinate packaging constraints with product engineering, industrial design and clay modeling departments to ensure accurate sight model development.

* Manage projects to deliver product within schedule and budget.

* Coordinate prototype parts for sight model development through to verification model setup with the Engineering Lab and Model Studio.

* Demonstrate understanding of product feasibility, including the various manufacturing processes and process constraints.

* Must be able to identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of manufacturing feasibility between Styling and Engineering Design.

* Requires a proactive approach to defining issues and forcing early resolution and consensus.

* Act in a professional manner in all contacts with external and internal customers.

* Prepare activity status reports and other detailed reporting as directed.

* Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks. Must be flexible to rapidly respond to model or packaging revisions and product changes as requested from Product Planning, Engineering and Industrial Design.

- 5 years experience with ICEM

- ICEM surf experience

- Class A digital modeling
