Job Description

Mechanical Engineering Portion: Evaluate Mechanical Engineering plans and specifications to ensure progress, completion of assignments, and all project documentation is accurate/reliable. Provide design assistance to Mechanical engineers as needed to complete fast-paced deadlines while maintaining a quality design. Provide support during construction phases and be a quick thinker to solve potential issues and obstacles in the field.

Required Skills & Experience

* Minimum 5 -10 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer working with consulting engineer or firm designing mechanical systems for facilities/buildings.

* REVIT and AUTOCAD experience

* Obtained a PE License

* Strong Mechanical/HVAC design capability in healthcare, aviation, and higher education-related projects.

* Ability to communicate effectively with people through oral presentations and written communications.

* Ability to work well under pressure, juggle, and prioritize multiple projects.

* Ability to participate and lead the mechanical HVAC design discussion during coordination meetings with clients, building owners, architects, other consultants, and contractors.

* Ability to mentor and train young design engineers.

* Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.

* Strong interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining strong client relationships are required.

* Computer literacy including all core applications and the ability to quickly learn as needed.

* Experienced at using a computer, preferably knowledgeable with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Associate Degree focused with HVAC Design/Installation

* Professional Engineer License is Plus

* LEED Certification or CEM or CxA is Plus

Experience with HVAC Load Calculation (Energy Pro, IESVE, Trane Trace 700, HAP) is a Plus
