Job Description

A Fortune 50 client is looking for a Scrum Master to come join their Enterprise Data Management Operations team as they look to build out two new data engineering teams to support corporate sustainability programs. The team that you would be joining is focused on ensuring on-time delivery for data products within subset organizations of PepsiCo. This team spans across Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Modeling, and Data Science lines of business and a successful candidate will need to know how to navigate between teams as priorities and deliverables change. This role requires someone who has the background in Scrum/Agile best practices, basic technical understanding in data engineering, and some basic SQL querying skills, and data validation skills. Project work is a blend of onshore and offshore developers so ability to manage time efficiently is key for success. This position will primarily be a work from home role, but there will be occasional meetings and events in Plano, TX that will be asked to attend. Flexibility to be onsite/at team events is required.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ year of experience as a Scrum Master in an enterprise level software release environment

Agile and/or SAFe expertise and best practices

Prior experience working in a Data Analytics organization and/or managing data engineering/data science teams

Basic SQL skills (will accept proficiency in MS access)

Experience in Azure cloud preferred; will accept expertise in alternate cloud provider

Able to manage teams in dispersed geographic locations

Excellent written and oral communication

Proactive in approach

Proficient in Azure DevOps

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Agile certified or SCRUM Certified or SAFE Certified

- IT Project Manager expertise (focus in SW development)

-Working knowledge of MS Azure stack (Databricks, Data Factory, etc.)
