The Youth Care Worker is responsible for all direct care to adolescents ages 12-17. They always provide continuous line of sight supervision to their assigned unaccompanied children (UCs). They will assist with the movement of children from one activity to the next. They ensure quality care of all unaccompanied children and follow all Office of Refugee Resettlement policies. Providing written reports on behavior. The ideal candidates know how to deescalate a child in crisis.
Bilingual in Spanish & English.
Minimum one year of paid child care experience supporting adolescents aged 12-17
Able to work 8 hours on their feet
Minimum age of 21 years or older.
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Able to pass strict background checks.
Experience with children in child welfare or social service setting.
Excellent presentation skills, as well as oral and written communication skills.
