Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Network Infrastructure Technician's to join the team of one of our Fortune 1000 clients. This position is 100% onsite in Austin, TX and willing to work 4/10 schedule, 7am-7pm M-Th. The Network Infrastructure Technician's will provide remote hands assistance for client owned assets that reside within the data centers facilities and will assist all of their operations teams in order to maintain an exceptional experience for the customer. They will be responsible for effectively coordinating with internal and external customers to install, troubleshoot, and perform tests on PDU's, computers, switches, routers, optics, and wireless access points. They will also install cabling support structures and Hard Drive and Ram installations and replacements. Overall, this person needs to be coachable, have a great sense of urgency and comfortable working on a team.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience working within data center operations
Install, terminate, maintain and troubleshoot various network cabling infrastructure (CAT 3/CAT 5/CAT 6 copper, fiber and coaxial), including but not limited to patch panels and cable management systems
Experience conducting physical installations of various circuits
Ability to perform installation of cabling support structures (cable tray, J-Hooks, ladder rack, ladder rack tray, cable horns)
Experience creating design layout records (D.L.R.) for all installations within a web-based environment
