A MSP client is seeking a Sr. Director of Business Development to join the sales organization and build out the oil and gas practice. This person will utilize their network and generate leads though events and speaking at O&G forums to Identify and pursue new business opportunities. They must have excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport for long term partnerships with the clients. They will lead negotiations for master service agreements and have monthly revenue quotas to meet. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high level of working knowledge of the company's products, services, and solutions and act as an SME in executive meetings and partnerships.
7+ years of experience in IT project management space for oil and gas
Interest in switching to the sales side of the house
Driven, goal oriented, and excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building
Comfortable identifying, engaging and negotiating with key stakeholders for competitive solution proposals and renewals
Comfortable planning and implementing business development, lead generation and client management strategies
Possess results driven mindset and holds ability to identify new leads, prospect and cold call/network to proactively develop business opportunities independently
Ability to travel anywhere from 25%-75% of the time to be in front of clients
Bachelor's or master's degree
