Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Piping Engineer for our of our largest EPC clients in the Houston area. This person will be responsible for checking or supervising pipe stress engineering, designing engineering and analysis for complex units and is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex units with minimal supervision. They will develop and issue line list and specialty items list. The ideal candidate has knowledge of specialty item design, piping line class specifications, procurement, technical evaluation of valves, piping and fittings, pipe supports and review piping line class specifications. Other responsibilities include completing pipe stress analysis using Caesar II and pipe support design, coordinating with and direct other team members pipe stress engineers, line list specialists and piping specialty items specialists and managing job cost accounting, manpower planning, estimating, and change notice submittals, scheduling and progressing workload, budgeting, and reporting. This individual will act as liaison with the other departments; specifically Piping Design, Structural, Control Systems, Process Engineering. As well as review and prepare bid tabulations on quotations received and assist the Piping Design group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil Engineering from accredited program.

· Minimum of 7 years related Experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience).

· Proficient in using Caesar II

· Experience in engineering and/or construction work process

· Jobsite experience

· Keen safety awareness

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· PE registration desired
