BUSINESS ANALYST II
The Business Analyst II will work closely with business stakeholders and development resources to analyze customer driven requirements, document existing processes, design efficient solutions, and write technical documentation for implementations, integrations and enhancements to all supported products and serve as agile product owner. This position will be responsible for gathering business requirements, creating user stories, and designing scalable, best practice solutions for critical business projects.
This professional will be responsible for managing the quarterly release cycle for products assigned to their subject matter area. This includes prioritizing user stories and bug fixes for development resources as well as making sure all release ready items are approved for production release.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
* Gather requirements from both internal and external subject matter experts.
* Document clear, concise and actionable user stories.
* Demonstrate a strong command of Agile Scrum practices and product owner skills.
* Build strategic partnerships/relationships with key business stakeholders from various departments throughout the organization.
* Modify existing solutions as appropriate to ensure effectiveness for all supported business units.
* Lead business process analysis sessions.
* Summarize discussions to ensure mutual understanding.
* Ask for others' ideas and build upon their ideas to reach a mutually agreeable solution.
* Emphasizes the importance of reaching agreement and the benefits of involving others.
* Exhibit strong analysis, oral and written communication skills.
* Assist in problem and issue resolution with project/product manager and report progress on initiatives in a summarized written format.
* Create project related documents such as technical specifications and system requirements.
* Work directly alongside QA team to produce release documentation and system test scripts.
* Gathers feedback on effectiveness of solutions.
* Organize, conduct, and participate in presentations and application walk-throughs.
* Exhibits intensity in completing work responsibilities and objectives.
* Reviews processes to determine any gaps between current outputs and expected requirements.
* Manage product quarterly release cycles through Azure DevOps.
* Groom and build roadmaps by participating in client discussions to determine top priority features.
* Support operational and financial systems/applications used by RealPage internal community.
Required Skills & Experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
* 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst/Product Owner type roles.
* Strong familiarity with business accounting principles, accounts receivable and/or payment technologies.
* Experience in an Agile environment
* A results-oriented mindset, which thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels regarding project deliverables.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to ensure deliverables are met.
* Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Working knowledge of MS Excel, including the construction of complex macros and inclusion of VBA code.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
* Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or financial related field.
* Familiarity with RealPage products or competitive multifamily property management solutions highly desired.
* Advanced use of MS Office suite, Azure DevOps, and SalesForce.com or equivalent are highly desired.
* Knowledge of programming and development languages such as JavaScript, VBA, C#/C++, desired but not required.
