Job Description

Our client will be supporting their client on building out facilities that are peppered throughout the United States to make hydrogen. $300 million - $700 million for each facility. They are putting together a core team to support that initiative and to maintain consistency. Once the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract is released for each facility, they will need support for each project (Construction, Project Management, etc.) These individuals will be working with their client, who have their own employees, and augmenting those individuals to build up a project team. Currently the client is involved in four active engineering / EPC construction activities, with more coming. Our client helps on the front end with defining the facility and bidding on it. Once the EPC has been awarded, it will take flight and our client supports them from there. At any time, they can have 5 -- 7+ of these at once. The goal is establishing clean energy.



The scope of support consists of the following:

The Process Engineer is a critical member of the Hydrogen Production, Project Execution, and Development teams

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the design of hydrogen generation, compression, liquefaction, storage, and dispensing systems at all Plug Power plant locations

By partnering with the engineering, production, commissioning, and plant operation/maintenance teams, the Process Engineer will develop a thorough understanding of the process and performance requirements of the Hydrogen plant and will be an integral part to continually improve its effectiveness and design

The Process Engineer will be an integral part to help in the enhancement of the current technology and assist in the development and design of new facilities

This role is vital to support Plug Power technology to further the Company's reputation as the industry leader in green hydrogen production and fuel cell applications development

Develop and deploy solutions for hydrogen infrastructure systems focused on process improvements and optimal system performance

Provide leadership when deploying solutions for H2 design and process implementation to ensure appropriate communication and achievement of deliverables

Support Plug's project team, EPC and Sub-Vendors in the design of new Hydrogen facilities

Read, and maintain comprehensive project documentation including P&ID's, equipment specifications, PFD's, engineering process and standards, etc

Work across functional groups and with outside vendors to develop innovative solutions to meet project technical and commercial requirements

Participate in HAZOP/LOPA and resolve related action items

Partner with Operations, Engineering, and outside vendors to prioritize critical tasks to meet projects objectives most optimally as needed

Required Skills & Experience

-7+ years of experience as a Process Engineer

-Experience dealing with cryogenic and / or hydrogen

-Process background

-Front end engineering experience

-Industry experience: Oil & gas, petroleum, process, power, etc.

-Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field of study

-Experience in a customer facing environment

-Computer and software system skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook)

-Strong verbal and written skills

-Demonstrated longevity in ALL roles (no jumping companies)

-Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders

-Uncompromising dedication to quality

-Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
