Job Description
An employer in Houston, Tx is seeking a Network Engineer with systems experience to join the team in delivering top-tier support and exemplary customer service in their professional services organization. This person will work on the project team setting up new environments for customers. They will work with key stakeholders to drive projects through to completion and ensure a positive customer experience. Additionally, they will serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues on a day to day basis including after hour support. This person will work in ConnectWise to manage tickets and perform follow up with internal and external organizations regarding client related issues. They must build and maintain rapport and trust within the organization through frequent communication, responsive ownership of deliverables, and collaboration with colleagues. This person must be comfortable implementing new technology in a fast paced environment and handle stress well. This position is onsite 5 days a week and some weekend and after hour work is required for customer needs/implementation.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years' of experience as a Network Engineer at a MSP
3+ years' experience in Network Infrastructure Services i.e. setting up firewalls, configuring rules, site-to-site VPNs, IP addressing, Subnet masks, & VLANs, as well as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Windows 7 (and up)
5+ years' experience working with Microsoft Server OS, O365, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL server, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager
Excellent communication, relationship building skills and customer service skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Certifications (CompTIA Network+, etc.)
Experience in RMM tools, ConnectWise, VMware ESX/ESXi 6.x, Enterprise Cloud Backup Solutions, and Zerto 4
