Job Description
As aMaterials Management Specialist,you will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of companywide supply chain inventory strategies for assigned commodities, consistent with Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures. They lead all aspects of planning, monitoring and delivery of inventory material utilized in the Supply Chain; monitor material usage, future requirements, and key supplier relationships in conjunction with Procurement; is aware of market and industry trends/conditions, market pricing, quality and delivery requirements, and other factors in the performance of duties. The Materials Management Specialist is required to interface with Vendors (sales/project management personnel), internal clients (users), auditors, Procurement, etc. to achieve total overall value to the Company; thus, must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree is required
* 2+ years of experience in materials management or equivalent
Logistics, procurement, ect.
* Experience drafting POs and managing invoices
* Experience with Bid Analysis and demand planning
* Experience with a procurement software (SAP or Coupa preferred)
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
Example: Engineering, operations, AP, procurement/contracts, suppliers/vendors
* Profcient to expert level experience in Excel -- Pivot tables, Vlookups, formulas
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience managing RFQs, RFIs, RFPs
* Experience managing vendor/supplier relationships
* SAP experience
* Coupa experience
* Utility industry experience
