An employer is looking for a Network Engineer in the San Antonio, TX area. This person will support the NetWatch Managed Services team and be responsible for the maintenance and support of technical products and solutions for ComSol's customers. They will be part of a team of 4 engineers and 1 Voice Engineer. The whole Managed Service team consists of 31 employees: Operations and Desktop Technicians, System and Network Administrator, and Technical Account Managers. The support 41 customers, ranging from 10s-700+ users. The team participates in all phases and layers of networking. They will take part in implementation of technology and serve as an escalation point for operational support within Managed Services. Support a variety of environments such as Data Centers, Education and Enterprise.
- 5+ years of experience with hands-on networking support (configurations, troubleshooting, etc.)
- Background in Cisco Firewalls and understanding of network security protocols
- Hands-on experience with configuring routers and switches
- Wifi, Port configuration, TCP, etc.
- Technical documentation of complex networking activity
- Troubleshooting of LAN/WAN
- IP routing protocols: EIGRP and OSPF
- Experience with VOIP or understanding of Wireless technologies
- Active CCNA certification (or able to obtain)
