Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic product development team. Position will be 100% remote offshore. The Azure DevOps Engineer will be responsible to implement, manage, and optimize our Azure-based infrastructure and DevOps processes. They will have daily collaboration with software development staff, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery and deployment. This person will develop, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools for automated build, test, and deployment processes. They will also implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Additioanlly this person will monitor and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and application-related issues and implement and manage Azure infrastructure as code using tools such as ARM templates or Terraform. Lastly, but not limited to, maintaining and enforcing best practices source control, branching, and release management and ensure compliance with security and governance standards in Azure infrastructure and DevOps processes.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services, including but not limited to Azure VMs, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Networking, etc.
At least 2-3 deployments into Azure as a DevOps Engineer
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates or Terraform
Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages
Solid understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Experience scaling in the cloud (Azure)
Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Azure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect
Previous experience working on Digital Transformation efforts
Architectural Design experience
Experience with Blue-Green, Experience with Distributed Cloud
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile development teams
Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and their DevOps tools - in addition to Azure
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppe
