Job Description
A large natural gas and utility provider is seeking an ABAP Developer to join their IT Field Operations and Solutions team in the downtown, Houston TX area. On a day to day basis, the ABAP Developer will be focused heavily on the PM (Plant Maintenance), SM (Service Management), and PS (Project Systems) modules to develop and deliver solutions for their SAP environment. This role will be expected to develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (RICEF), in the modules listed above, as well as develop and maintain interfaces using IDOCs and conduct unit and integration testing. This role will be required to work 3 days/week onsite in downtown, Houston.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of ABAP Development experience in SAP environments
Experience working with modules such as: PM (Plant Maintenance), SM (Service Management), and PS (Project Systems) and the business processes/integration points
Experience with IDOC development, customization, and integration with external systems from SAP
Proficient with ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, and User Exits
Strong understanding of SAP data structures, data models, and database tables related to PM/SM and PS modules
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
SAP certifications in ABAP and relevant modules
Utility industry experience
