Job Description
Insight Global is searching for an IBM MQ Admin. to support a federal client remotely. This is an E-commerce position requiring a minimum of bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have strong administration support skills in UNIX (Solaris / Linux) and IBM MQ experience. Individuals must be able to lead, implement, and support specialized business and technical information technology solutions. Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Support IBM MQ on Unix / Linux servers
Install, upgrade, and maintain IBM MQ Servers and Clients / JMS components.
Provide build support including troubleshooting, timely resolution, and root cause analysis.
Perform change management tasks. Implement change requests based on CM processes.
Perform incident management activities. Resolve incidents based on incident processes.
Has proven interpersonal, communication, organizational, documentation, leadership, and customer service skills.
Qualified applicants have a Bachelor's degree in a related area or have at least 10 years of experience in the field.
Demonstration of initiative and results oriented with flexibility and tenacity, and the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances.
Strong diplomacy, assertiveness, influencing skills with commitment and ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational teams.
Strong dedication to provide quality customer service.
Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger operational team.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong UNIX Solaris / Linux systems administration skills.
Strong Experience administering, migrating, installing, upgrading, and configuring IBM MQ.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with management of SSL, TLS, data encryption, and certificates.
Strong scripting experience (Shell, Perl, Python, Json).
Experience with AWS environment and technologies (S3, BLOB).
Basic understanding of networking.
