Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a remote or local to Houston Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineer for a large Oil and Gas Client. This individual will be tasked with making recommendations and specifying what materials they will be putting in the material requisitions for what their clients are going to end up buying. They will be working closely with the designers and drafters giving instructions based on the drawings they produce. The Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineer will be working on Greenfield and Brownfield assets where they will be analyzing material selection by pulling data and records to determine what material is useful and what material needs to be changed/replaced. Additionally, they will be tasked with managing subcontractor performance based on their calculations.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of CO2 Pipeline experience

· Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

· Familiarity with Ductile Running Fracture Analysis

· Strong understanding of codes and standards

Willing to work overtime

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Metallurgy Engineering Degree

- Local to Houston

- Expert in Ductile Running Fracture Analysis
