Job Description

This position is for an entry level mechanical engineering role for someone with basic knowledge about mechanical and hydraulic components and assemblies. This position focuses on NPI (new product introduction) projects as well as sustaining efforts for existing products (e.g., support for regional production and manufacturing engineering teams). This position can involve travel to sites for the support of new and existing products as well as direct interface with customers.

Required Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

NPI projects

Design develop, and document (using 3D CAD software) new dispenser components and modules

Fabricate and assemble prototype components and modules

Develop design verification test methods

Conduct environmental and/or regulatory testing

Write test reports

Item registrations in PDM and ERP systems including the creation of configuration matrices, BoMs, ERs and ECOs

Assist with design reviews

Sustaining work

Design develop, and document (using 3D CAD software) improvements to existing dispenser components and modules

Fabricate and assemble prototype components and modules

Develop design verification test methods

Conduct environmental and/or regulatory testing

Write test reports

Item registrations in PDM and ERP systems including the creation of configuration matrices, BoMs, ERs and ECOs

Support the operations team in the manufacture and shipment dispensers

Support field service teams in troubleshooting issues at customer sites

Support customer service teams in response to customer inquiries



Candidate Experience and Qualification:

BS in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering)

Basic knowledge of:

- Fabricated and formed sheet metal parts

- Fluid handling components made from cast metal (sand cast and die cast aluminum and grey iron)

- Injection molded plastic and elastomeric parts

- Machined aluminum, steel and plastic parts

- Fluid handling systems

- SolidWorks CAD system

Beneficial But Not Required:

Knowledge of UL hazardous area zoning requirements for fuel dispensers¬¬¬¬¬¬

Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD system

Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Experience working in experimental/machine shops

Experience working on cross-functional design teams
