Job Description
An employer in San Antonio, TX is looking for a Technical Lab Manager to join their team. This person will directly oversee a team of scientists as well as directly oversee all laboratory testing equipment in the department. They will be responsible for the implementation of all new laboratory equipment, maintaining compliance and regulation of systems, participating in internal and external audits, and facilitating all process improvement projects. They will also assure timely deliveries of all test results, communicate with external vendors and coordinate any and all equipment maintenance, calibration, and upgrades. This person will provide guidance, support, and training on all new and existing laboratory systems. They will also mentor and train new employees in the department and perform other departmental duties.
Required Skills & Experience
o Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science (Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology etc.)
o 7-10+ years of experience performing equipment validations, equipment calibrations, LIMS, quality assurance, and working directly with lab equipment vendors.
o 7+ years of benchwork testing of human cells, tissues, and organs.
o 7+ years of experience working in an FDA-regulated environment
o 3+years of experience directly managing a laboratory team

o Master's Degree in Applied Science
o Immuno Assay Experience
o Experiece with Flow Cytometry
o Nucleic Acid Testing Experience
o Endotoxin Experience
